Make that 4 teeth out in 3 weeks!

Yes folks, she lost ANOTHER tooth. It was a tooth on the bottom, next to the 2 she had lost last year and are growing in. It was merely hanging on by one corner, she wiggled it for a few seconds and out it came. No blood this time either. Now I'm concerned that she's losing too many teeth!

She lost her 6th tooth and the tooth fairy didn't fail her, Phoebe woke up to $6 under her pillow.

MawMaw & PawPaw's Visit

MawMaw & PawPaw stopped in and stayed the night on their way to vacation in San Antonio. We went to dinner at Rico's last night then came home and hung out for a while. We made a cake for their anniversary and we all had a slice of that then played with the rocket launcher, which had us all cracking up. Phoebe had a wonderful time. MawMaw & PawPaw left on Monday morning while we were at work & school. I came home to let Jack out at lunch, before heading to have lunch with Phoebe. Well they left Phoebe a note saying there are 10 notes hidden around the house. She came home and went to find all of the notes, she had so much fun, she did it twice after that. :)

2 Teeth Out in 3 Days?!

Phoebe has a few loose teeth. On Thursday, after I picked her up from school, she told me that she really thought her tooth would fall out today. I checked it and one of them seemed to be barely hanging on. She didn't want to eat or anything because she was scared she might swallow eat. So I told her we could always pull it out. That scared her, lol! But I said "no, just gently wiggle it back and forth to help it loosen up a bit. Well she was at the sink and must have started wiggling it because a minute later she said (with a mouth full of blood), "Mom, it's out, I can't believe I got my tooth out!" She was full of excitement as I rushed over to see. But Mom was full of fear because that little tooth certainly had a lot of tissue on it. I was thinking "oh my goodness, what have I done?!" During all of this, she's still jumping up and down with excitement saying "I can't believe I got my tooth out!". I gave her a cup of cold water and told her to keep rinsing it until it stopped bleeding. The other loose tooth next to it was bleeding as well. I figured I really screwed up. I can laugh about it now because she's okay, but at the time I was seriously worried. So we learned a lesson there, just let the teeth fall out on their own. :) Here she is with the tooth she lost (well pulled out) on April 26th.

Then today, Saturday, April 28th, she went in her room for a second and then came out with the fake vampire teeth in her mouth, we're laughing at her. Then Mikey was headed upstairs to play Call of Duty with his friends. Phoebe followed him and he yells to me from upstairs "Net, her tooth is gone!" as he was giggling. I said "what?!" Phoebe ran downstairs and showed me that her tooth fell out. We checked the vampire teeth that she just took off and yep, it was in there. Too funny! So now she's missing her 2 front teeth. She's really excited about the tooth fairy again too. :)

PJs & Pancake Day at Cheer

PJ & Pancakes this morning at cheer... and they could use some help so mommy got to stay! We had a great time! The girls had pancakes in their pj's, then we made spirit sticks to throw at the crowd during the game next Saturday and we made a team poster. Then we had a scavenger hunt! Mommy truly got a workout running around the church, up and down the stairs - I think it was a setup, lol! Phoebe had a blast! Then they practiced their "Footloose" dance which they will perform during halftime at Saturday's game. :) Phoebe is really enjoying herself!
I recorded a video of the Footloose dance. I'm not sure if the video will work. It shows that it matches Third Party Content (Sony) because of the Footloose song, but here's the link: http://youtu.be/4E5_MO5u9V0 It's set as unlisted, so only those with the link can view it.

Just some cute pictures

Phoebe got stuck rock climbing!

We went to Aidan & Evan's birthday party at Lifetime Fitness today. The last hour of the party was rock climbing. Phoebe got all the way to the top but couldn't get back down because she was too light. She did okay the first few minutes, but then she was getting a little scared when she realized she was stuck. You heard her say really low "I think I'm stuck". Poor thing. Daddy handed me his phone as soon as he realized she may be stuck. He was ready to put on a harness and go get her. The employees took care of it though, they went in the back and did some kind of release. She didn't freak out too much, but the poor thing was scared. Needless to say, she was all partied out after that and was ready to go home. We took her to Wendy's on the way home as a treat for being so brave. She's been wanting to go but we've been trying to stay away from the fast food. She was fine by the time we got to Wendy's.
She was excited and ready to go!

When she first reached the top:

This is while she was stuck at the top: =(

This was when she finally got down and the employee was reaching for her.

This kid cracks us up, how does she come up with this stuff? =)

1/25/12 - Me & Phoebe got home today and cousins were coming over and bringing pizza in an hour and a half, so I wasn't going to cook dinner. Phoebe chose to eat the little single serving bowls of mac n cheese. I cooled it some and then gave it to her. She says "momma, I have hearburn." I said Phoebe, what do you mean you have heartburn? And where ever did you learn that word?" She said "I just know mom, I have heartburn". I said "well explain to mom what you're feeling". She said (while patting her chest), the macaroni and cheese was hot when I swallowed it, so it burned my heart." I was cracking up. 12/27/11 - So I give Phoebe her clothes to wear this morning and she said "Uhm Mommy, I wore these when I was 5, I am 6 now"." She certainly has the right idea! We should all get a new wardrobe for our birthday each year. :)

Phoebe - Cheerleading

We signed her up for Cheerleading at church. During the evaluations, they tried on uniforms and practiced cheers. Here's her first try with a group for cheerleading. She did great. :) Phoebe really enjoyed it and can't wait to start cheering! Here's a video of her first halftime performance on March 3, 2012

Another Mommy Daughter Day

Since I had to work late everyday last week, I told Phoebe I'd make it up to her by taking her out for a Mommy/Daughter Day. We woke up, got dressed and went to meet Aidan, Evan & Tammy at Skeeters for breakfast. Then we all headed to Toys R Us. Phoebe got her guitar pics and strap. Then me & Phoe went to Claire's, she picked out a pink and purple feather jewel that clips in her hair and a ladybug pee wee pillow pet. I gave her the option of getting the pee wee baby or going to get our nails done, she chose the pee wee and said we can do each other's nails at home. We then went over to Children's Place and got her a few things, then headed home. We have spent the entire day hanging out. While Daddy was washing Big Red, I took Phoebe around the neighborhood to ride her bike. I told her this was my exercise, so she kept speeding up and making me run. It was great. I did get some exercise, it was fun and I was able to spend time with my girl while exercising. My dream workout :) And now we're ending our day watching Strawberry Shortcake, before that we watched a few episodes of Angelina Ballerina.

Tomorrow we're taking Phoebe to get fitted for her Cheerleading uniform. Aidan & Evan signed up for Flag Football. I am so excited to see how cute all 3 of them look in their uniforms.

Phoebe's First Time Ice Skating

Today was Martin Luther King's birthday and school was closed, as well as the after care center. I had to work because my deadline is the 20th of the month and we were filing year end returns, so I had more than double the amount of my normal return count. Nikki & Patrick offered to take Phoebe ice skating with them. Phoebe and Aubree are BFFs (as Phoebe calls her). These are one of the very few people we would trust Phoebe with. According to Aubree's parents, Phoebe and Aubree did great! Phoebe also got to pick out a stuffed animal at the Disney Store. She got the baby lion from the Lion King movie and called her Nahla. She was thrilled about that!

They wouldn't allow them to take pictures while on the ice. But they assured me that she did great and had so much fun! That was a first for us to let her go off with another family, but I'm glad that we did, it was certainly worth it. And again, if there's anyone we'd trust with our child, it would be this family... they rock!

Bowling & a Playdate

Me, Phoebe & Mikey went bowling this morning. We had such a good time. Afterwards, we went home, Mikey went to play his game before the Saints game came on. I noticed Phoebe's friends Victoria & Kelly were outside, I called Phoebe outside to see if she wanted to play with her friends.  They ended up coming over and spent about 3 hours by our house. They had a great time together. It was nice for me to sit back, relax and watch them play.

We're heading back to church tomorrow. We've had to miss the past few months. It started with me being in pain all the time, then the surgery to fix that, then working too much so I had a lot to catch up on in the house, then we'd have visitors in or be out of town. Ms. Connie contacted me today asking if I could help teach Phoebe's Sunday school class tomorrow, so Phoebe is super excited that I'll be teaching her class. :)

Phoebe's 6th Birthday Party

Phoebe's party was a success! We absolutely loved Stacey's Dance Studio! We had 2 kid tables set up by the door. As the kids arrived, they came to the tables by Phoebe's Uncle Rudy and MawMaw Tessie to get their faces painted and/or get a Hello Kitty or Pirate tattoo. We mainly offered 2 face painting options - a pirate skull or a hello kitty face, this was a big hit! Then they went over to a helper from Stacey's to make beads and have some free play while other guests arrived. Once everyone arrived, they played follow the leader and the hokey pokey, which Nanny and MawMaw Tessie joined in on =). Then they had a hula hoop contest. Phoebe did so great on the first 3 and then for the contest it was her and Lexi holding on for a long time, but Phoebe ended up dropping it and Lexi won the contest. Which was great because like I told Phoebe, you want your guests to win because they came to your party and you're the one already getting lots of presents, so it's good that she won. After the hula hoop contest, they had a relay race, there were 2 lines and each person had to put all this dress up stuff on, take it off and run back and tag the next person, it was hilarious, they had so much fun. Some were jumping in excitement waiting for their turn. After that they set up a big tarp on the floor and we served pizza and cupcakes. Then we opened presents, handed out favors and packed things up.

Christmas has passed.. time to get ready for a New Year!

We ended up staying home for Christmas this year. Since I had so much on my plate with work, Christmas & Phoebe's upcoming party, and was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure, my hubby is trying to help me lessen my stress factors. Whenever we have vacation time, we use it to travel to see family. We planned to go in for Christmas this year, but we decided it was best to stay home and get some of the clutter in the house cleaned up, so I don't stress as much over it. It was nice to have Phoebe wake up at home on Christmas morning again, but it would be perfect if we could share it with more family members. Phoebe seemed to be happy with all she received. Her favorite gift was a 4ft tall sock monkey, which we named JoJo. She is extremely attached to this monkey! We even put a shirt and pants on him today because she said he was cold. We didn't have any boy clothes, so JoJo got a pink shirt and purple pants. Here they are inside the tent that Nanny & Uncle Ruby got her for her birthday:

Santa brought Phoebe a Bop It XT game, a telescope, microscope and JoJo (the 4ft sock monkey mentioned above). Santa paid a visit to Phoebe, Aidan & Evan while we were at Nanny's on Christmas Eve. He gave her the Bop It game and she was oh so thrilled. Mom & Dad got her a Spongebob hangman game, a motorized train with lights that goes around the tree, a travel kit for her DSi, Hello Kitty puzzle, remote race car, create your own jigsaw puzzle, and a few other things. Here are the before and after pictures: Before

After:

She did have a birthday 5 days earlier, where she got a Dsi, Super Mario game, Bumble Chase set with motion and music and an animated Abominable snowman (named him Bumble). We made a point to talk about the meaning of Christmas and how it was Jesus' birthday.
