Slumber party and shopping spree!

Ok, not really a shopping spree! Hannah and Brook slept over Friday night, they had a hair station, nail station, played hide and seek (them against me!). Then on Saturday they got up, ate breakfast, took showers, then me and the hubby took them to the mall. We gave them a budget of $20 each to spend at Justice and Claire's. They got matching necklaces at Justice, which is a message bottle with the Eiffel tower. Cute! Some rings at Claire's and then all 3 got new iPhone / iPod cases. After that we headed to Asian City for lunch. Then we went back to the house where they went and jumped on the trampoline in the rain. They decided to pour soap on it and make it all sudsy, which was pretty funny, until their eyes began to burn! We hosed them down, they all took showers again. Then they played for a while and decided they wanted to have a 2 night sleepover, all parents agreed, so they ran to Brook's house for clothes, came back and guess what? They went back into the trampoline and proceeded to do the same thing!! So when they came back in, what was next? A 3rd shower! Lol. And where was I all this time? Following them around cleaning up wet leaves! You should've seen the tub! Lol!

On Sunday morning Hannah's mom came to pick her up, then Brook's dad came to get her for church... and not too long after that, Bryson's mom said he wanted to know if Phoebe could come hang out at their house. So off she went! She got home at 8pm, started to catch up on her reading and fell asleep while reading. My girl is pooped and so is momma!

Now back to work and school in the a.m. Wish us luck! :)

Exterior work done on the house!

Finally! We had the exterior work done on the house. Jose Ramirez, who I highly recommend, and his crew came to work on the house Monday and finished on Wednesday. They pressure washed all exterior, cleaned and painted the gutters, recaulked, replaced any hardiplank that needed it and applied 2 coats of paint to all exterior. Now I'm excited to get started on the interior! But we're going to give Rolo a chance to adjust here first. :)

Welcome to the family Jill :)

We adopted this kitten today. I mean who could say no to that face? Look how happy she looks?! We chose to go with Jill as her name. So now we have Jack 'n Jill. The adoption records had unknown for the birth date. Guess we'll have to pick one! She has been microchipped, spayed and all shots are up to date.

Girl Scouts End of Year Celebration! 6.3.16

Pool party and BBQ at the Tobey's. Everyone wrote down a memory from the year and placed it in the memory book. The girls swam but had to keep getting out of the pool because of thunder! They had a good time though. We ended with cookie cake and cookie sale rewards.

Rest in Peace Grandma Agnes :-(

A few months ago my grandma fell and hit her head, they kept her in the hospital for about a week. She ended up back in the hospital not long after. Then they transferred her to the rehab center after. I last spoke with her on her birthday, January 25, 2016. We talked, we laughed... I really enjoyed our conversations. I kept telling myself to call her. And each day I'd say to myself "you really need to call grandma", then like everything else, I push it to the next day. I wasn't sure if she had her phone in the rehab center, so I kept thinking "I need to ask Angel or Tammy how grandma is and if she has her phone "... I didn't talk to them for a while either. I recieved a call from Tammy this evening, letting me know that Grandma had pneumonia and she passed away today, May 27th. She had fluid in her lungs, her kidneys stopped working and she went into cardiac arrest.  She was 86. My heart is broken. Phoebe cried with me. Mikey held me. It is so easy to say that we need to stop waiting for tomorrow, as we never know what God's plans are. But we seldom change up routines. It sucks, so bad. There's no rewind button, no way to take Phoebe to visit her Great Grandmother now. We can't have that time back. And in the end, I am the only reason for it. If there's anything that I can say, it is don't wait for tomorrow. Rest in peace Grandma, I love you so much more than I showed.

For as long as I can remember, Grandma always had a smile on her face. I have a lot of childhood memories from spending summers at Grandma's house. I will cherish them always. The smell of bengay, watching wheel of fortune and golden girls, letting us play waitress at her restaurant "Hal's", giving us the chance to work if we wanted and earn an allowance. I will never forget the taste of her famous roast beef gravy and how no one could make it the same. I remember how we spent every Christmas there, the whole family, and we'd put on performances for the family before gift exchanges. Thank you Grandma, for giving us wonderful memories that we will forever cherish. Rest now, we love you and will keep you alive in our hearts.
