Phoebe's party was a success! We absolutely loved Stacey's Dance Studio! We had 2 kid tables set up by the door. As the kids arrived, they came to the tables by Phoebe's Uncle Rudy and MawMaw Tessie to get their faces painted and/or get a Hello Kitty or Pirate tattoo. We mainly offered 2 face painting options - a pirate skull or a hello kitty face, this was a big hit! Then they went over to a helper from Stacey's to make beads and have some free play while other guests arrived. Once everyone arrived, they played follow the leader and the hokey pokey, which Nanny and MawMaw Tessie joined in on =). Then they had a hula hoop contest. Phoebe did so great on the first 3 and then for the contest it was her and Lexi holding on for a long time, but Phoebe ended up dropping it and Lexi won the contest. Which was great because like I told Phoebe, you want your guests to win because they came to your party and you're the one already getting lots of presents, so it's good that she won. After the hula hoop contest, they had a relay race, there were 2 lines and each person had to put all this dress up stuff on, take it off and run back and tag the next person, it was hilarious, they had so much fun. Some were jumping in excitement waiting for their turn. After that they set up a big tarp on the floor and we served pizza and cupcakes. Then we opened presents, handed out favors and packed things up.
