Rest in Peace Grandma Agnes :-(
A few months ago my grandma fell and hit her head, they kept her in the hospital for about a week. She ended up back in the hospital not long after. Then they transferred her to the rehab center after. I last spoke with her on her birthday, January 25, 2016. We talked, we laughed... I really enjoyed our conversations. I kept telling myself to call her. And each day I'd say to myself "you really need to call grandma", then like everything else, I push it to the next day. I wasn't sure if she had her phone in the rehab center, so I kept thinking "I need to ask Angel or Tammy how grandma is and if she has her phone "... I didn't talk to them for a while either. I recieved a call from Tammy this evening, letting me know that Grandma had pneumonia and she passed away today, May 27th. She had fluid in her lungs, her kidneys stopped working and she went into cardiac arrest. She was 86. My heart is broken. Phoebe cried with me. Mikey held me. It is so easy to say that we need to stop waiting for tomorrow, as we never know what God's plans are. But we seldom change up routines. It sucks, so bad. There's no rewind button, no way to take Phoebe to visit her Great Grandmother now. We can't have that time back. And in the end, I am the only reason for it. If there's anything that I can say, it is don't wait for tomorrow. Rest in peace Grandma, I love you so much more than I showed.
For as long as I can remember, Grandma always had a smile on her face. I have a lot of childhood memories from spending summers at Grandma's house. I will cherish them always. The smell of bengay, watching wheel of fortune and golden girls, letting us play waitress at her restaurant "Hal's", giving us the chance to work if we wanted and earn an allowance. I will never forget the taste of her famous roast beef gravy and how no one could make it the same. I remember how we spent every Christmas there, the whole family, and we'd put on performances for the family before gift exchanges. Thank you Grandma, for giving us wonderful memories that we will forever cherish. Rest now, we love you and will keep you alive in our hearts.

Sleepover with Aarika
Aarika spent the night so Carrie and Aaron could go to Caroline's wedding. We went to Fuddruckers and then came back to the house to hang out. They made a few Musical.ly videos, played Dance Central on the Kinect. Below are the videos they made.

Everything happens for a reason...
The good Lord is definitely testing us but we won't lose hope! We trust that everything happens for a reason and this will lead to better things. Sure, we'll have to cut back some but when we think about how blessed we are, we really can't complain. We have been able to find the positive in each obstacle...
1. My brother's cancer - according to the most recent pet scan and blood work, he is cancer free. Sure, he's having a struggle getting weight back on, but he is alive!
2. Phoebe's Turner Syndrome diagnosis - is not life threatening! Sure, she'll be short, but she'll be able to live a healthy, normal life!
3. Mikey being let go from his job last week - it has to be to make way for a better job, with a more stable company where he will be happy!
We'll get through this!!

How I know that I've matured...
The neighbors son had 2 friends at his house. They parked in front of our house. That's fine, I don't own the street. Although they do have a corner house and can park on the other side...where about 10 cars could fit. Whatever...so I'm outside on the phone, the girl is walking towards her friends truck, she's stumbling, looks at me and says "I'm glad I parked in your yard...bi**h!". It didn't take much for me to realize that I had a kid inside, I lead by example and this piece of trash isn't worth my time or energy. I just stood there, staring at her. Then she says "blah blah haha I'm bipolar". Then they drive away and begin to speed down the street. Anyone that grew up around me knows that I would not back down from anyone and I can catch a crazy really quick! But I learned that I've grown in so many ways... which is what all parents should do. Your children do not need to see you screaming, cursing, fighting with trash. Let them be the sloppy trash, you rise above. Feels good!

RIP Samsung Note II
Phoebe and her cousins were playing a basket game. Using yarn and a basket to bring things upstairs / downstairs. At first they were putting their brans new phones in the basket. Well thankfully Mikey said to use a phone that is older because it sure did fall out of the basket onto the ceramic tile! The screen shattered. This was the first device that Phoe has ever broken. She was so upset. We assured her that it wasn't a big deal, she hasn't used it in a while so don't worry about it. She took a shower, cried in the shower and after she got out. Then I talked to her, cheered her up so she'd come back out to the front room and play with cousins and Nanny. They're currently playing cards and I found this on the kitchen table. :)

Happy 10th Birthday Phoebe Jean!
She currently wears
Shoes - 12.5 to 13
Pants - size 6/7
Shirts - size 6/7
Current weight is 46.4lbs
Current height is 47"
She loves watching Henry Danger on Nick. Movies she likes - Paul Blart Mall Cop, Night at the Museum, Home Alone.
She hasn't slept in her own room in a few months. She doesn't seem to like being upstairs by herself. We're okay with it though, we know how quickly those teenage years will be here and she'll want nothing to do with us! :( She still has the same boyfriend, Bryson Bailey. She currently considers Hannah Dove her best friend. She can't stand when people tell her she's small, she says because so many people say it, all the time.
For her birthday this year, we decided to make her more responsible. So we got her an iPhone 5S. She's in heaven! :)
We love this kid so much more than words could ever say. And I made the decision about 6 months ago to stop saying "no baby, I have to work"... I work my normal hours at the office and then after her and Mikey are asleep I work from the house when needed. No more super long hours. My family is my life and I work to pay bills to keep us happy. If I can't spend time with them, then its all for nothing. Took me a while to realize that, but I'm finally there. Same thing goes for cleaning the house! It all goes on the backburner for her, Mikey and even Jack. :)
We started celebrating her 10th birthday last night. Mikey told her if she could stay up until midnight, she could open her gift from Mom and Dad. At 11:00 he was trying to say he was going to bed and she could just open it early, but I didn't let him slide, he had to stay awake until midnight! Lol! I have posted a video below of her opening her bday gift.
Opening present at midnight!
Then in the morning we all went to have breakfast at Cracker Barrel. She wanted to go there because she knows they sing to you on your birthday. So there's a video of that as well.
Cracker Barrel
Then we got an ice cream cake later in the evening and sang Happy Birthday to her at home, that's the last video below. :)
