She’s growing up y’all...

Phoebe will be a teenager in 7 days!!!
Since going back to school after Thanksgiving break she hasn’t fallen back to sleep after I get her up in the mornings. And this week she began to ask that the tv be off when she was going to bed. It is all so bittersweet! 💕ðŸ˜ĐðŸĪŠðŸ™ƒ

Seasons change...

And so does life, people, feelings... it all changes whether we want it to or not. In case you haven’t already heard, Michael and I were divorced on October 17, 2018. It broke my heart but I understood the reasoning behind it. And as I have told everyone else, I have nothing bad to say about him. I believe with all my heart that he was faithful throughout our marriage. I will always respect him for leaving the right way. It is definitely an adjustment without him here, but I know we will all be okay. Phoebe misses her dad but she stays busy and the days fly by. So she’ll see him soon enough. I just really truly hope that he finds, or has found, what makes him happy. Life is too short to be unhappy. I’ve gone through every emotion and at the end of the day, I am just happy knowing and feeling that there is someone that loves me for me, unconditionally. As long as I have that in my life, I have my happy. Phoebe is my constant, she is my heart, my world. We’ve got this and we will get through this. I am so thankful and blessed for the support offered and received. You think you’re alone, and then something like this happens and you see who you’ve actually had by your side all along. Life is good y’all, you just need to get through the storms and count your blessings. 🙏ðŸŧ💕 And realize that You are Enough, You are Loved, You do Matter.

My Jackie Boy...

We had the echo and ultrasound done on Jack Tuesday. Dr Meschler called with the results today and they found Pancreatitis and Heart Disease. ðŸ˜Ē😔

He’s sick on top of that, with vomiting and diarrhea the past few days. So we need to drop him off in the morning, they’ll keep him all day to keep an eye on him and give him IV fluids.

He seems fine, until he eats. 😔 But they had me bring him in today and gave him 2 shots for the vomiting and diarrhea.

Jack has a heart murmur. 😔

We found out today that Jack has a heart murmur. A 3 of 6. He’ll need an echo so they can confirm the issue and treat with medication if necessary. We had asked about getting his teeth cleaned but they said the heart murmur needs to be addressed first so they’ll know if he can handle the sedation for teeth cleaning. ðŸ˜Ē😔

Phoe up on a school morning!

So this thing didn’t sit down when first waking up. She went straight into the kitchen and made her own breakfast. She made the plan last night. 💕 I’m sure it won’t be a daily thing but I’m so proud that she made a plan and stuck with it!

2018 Cruise - Carnival Triumph

Me, Phoebe & Payton went with my family on a cruise this summer. We went swimming with the dolphins and that had to be one of the best experiences ever! We had a suite this time and it was much roomier. The girls took "Debra" on elevator rides to spook fellow passengers, lol. Phoebe ended up getting sick one night. She was up all night. :( But was fine the next day! We departed New Orleans on August 4th, had a day at sea August 5th, arrived in Cozumel on August 6th, Yukatan on August 7th,  a day at sea August 8th then arrived back in New Orleans on August 9th. The girls enjoyed ordering room service daily, sometimes twice in a day. They loved the endless supply of soft serve ice cream too! It was a great time and I can't wait until the next cruise!

Phoebe's Growth

Today was Phoebe's follow up with Dr. Lyons at TX Children's.

She is now 4'7" and 73lbs!!
Before starting gH she was expected to be 4'10" as an adult and was below all percentiles on the growth chart.

Now she is within the 4% for weight and 1% for height! She's growing an average 4" per year.

She was excited and said it makes the daily doses worth it. Nothing can stop this girl!

Rest in Peace Uncle Steve :-/

My mom's brother, Steve Asher, passed away today from a stroke. He lived in Kentucky and was recently admitted into the hospital. We were so sad to hear the news, we had some fond memories of him. Rest in peace Uncle Steve. Love you...

Phoebe has real glasses now!

Phoebe had her vision checkup on June 9th and it turns out she's becoming near sighted. That's when you can see up close but can't see as well far away. She was super excited to get "Phoebe" brand glasses. Her name is already displayed on her glasses and the case! :)

Phoebe was baptized today :)

Phoebe was originally baptized when she was 6 months old. She made the decision to get baptized at her new church Kingwood Church of Christ.

Payton's Grandfather Royce performed the baptism. We joined them for lunch afterwards. Such a great day! Congrats Phoebe Jean!
