Phoebe reading her first Bob book
Phoebe's preschool teacher, Mrs. West, recommended this book set for Phoebe. We received the books on Friday and this was Phoebe's first shot at it, I didn't help at all, this was all her. :)
She read books 2-10 last night.
Planting Phoebe's Flowers
Today we had to skip church because Mommy's face wouldn't stop running (still dealing with a cold), so Phoebe was disappointed. I decided to take her to Lowe's and let her pick out some flowers to plant. We just bought a few annuals. Once we got home, we ate a delicious lunch that Daddy cooked for us. He had me try Salmon for the first time, it was cooked on the grill, and let me tell you, it was yummy! I'm not sure I'd start eating it out or anything, but I'd certainly eat it if he cooked it.
So we all went outside after lunch to begin planting Phoebe's flowers. We got a few planted and then Phoebe wanted to take a break. We came in for a few hours and then she said she was ready to go back out and finish the flowers. Well after the 3rd bunch, she said "Mommy, you can finish the garden while I go play", lol! I said okay, it was getting pretty hot out there anyway. And about 2 minutes after that, she said she was going to sit inside and wait for me. Dadda was inside playing his game, so I told her to stay in the living room so I could see her through the window. She was there the first few times, then I didn't see her. I came in and she way laying in our bed. I asked if she was going to take a nap and she said yes. Let me tell you, this was certainly a first! There wasn't a tv on, no one told her she needed a nap, when I went in there, she didn't ask me to stay with her or turn the tv on, she fell asleep within 2 minutes!
Well I finished planting her little flowers and she told MawMaw & PawPaw she'd send them pictures, so here they are. :)
And here's proof that she passed out! :)

RIP Aunt Mary
My mom's sister, Aunt Mary, passed away this morning. They believe it was pneumonia, but they aren't 100% sure. Arrangements are being made for the services, please keep our family in your prayers.
In the picture below, that's my Mom holding Brittanie, and to the right is my Aunt Mary and the far right is my MeMaw, who is in heaven, waiting for my Aunt Mary with open arms. I wish we could've seen you once more before God called you home. You'll be missed by many.
Here's my mom with Aunt Mary.

Working out with the hubby
Since I have every excuse under the sun on why I don't get to the gym, Mikey has offered to work out at home with me, after we put Phoebe in bed. That way I don't miss out on time with her and he's my motivation to keep on schedule. We worked out for the first time last Thursday to Jillian Michaels (Biggest Loser), and she kicked our butts! Thankfully we started late in the week because I was still sore Monday when it was time to start again. We timed it perfectly. We've done it twice this week. I caught some kind of funk so I wasn't feeling great today, but I still worked out, so go me. :) It is much better to have a partner, cause if it was just me, I would've skipped. But I did it and made it through to the end. So you can push yourself, you just need that motivation!

Kids Say the Cutest Things!
2/11/11 - We're by Tammy's for cake & ice cream to celebrate the boys' birthday. Tammy is asking the kids if they want vanilla or chocolate swirl, Phoebe says "Nanny, I want chocolate SQUIRREL", lol.
2/09 - Phoebe is in the process of learning lots of new things. So when she does well, or even tries, we tell her "Good job Phoebe, we're so proud of you!". Well I came home from work one day, she runs to the door -as she always does... and I picked her up and hugged her. She looks at me and says "Mommy, you were at work?" ... I said "Yes, baby, mommy had to work"... She looks at me, hugs me, pats my back and says "Mommy, I'm so proud of you!". I looked at Mikey and we both just giggled with glee, she really is the sweetest thing.
3/10/09 - Ms. Jude, Phoe's sitter, needed the day off to celebrate her anniversary. I was super busy at work so Mikey took Phoebe for the day. They went to his office so he could get a few things taken care of. He calls me on their way home after she fell asleep in the car and tells me what happened. He said, "I just had one of those 'proud to be a parent' moments. I was like what are you talking about crazy? He said Phoebe had to go potty at his office, they're in the stall and she grabs his face, looks at him and said "Daddy, I'm so happy". It just melted my heart when he told me that, so I can only imagine the joy he felt at that moment. To have your kid tell you out of the blue that they're happy... Oh my, what a wonderful thing. We are raising an Angel.
A few days after this, we put her earrings back in her ears (she had trouble and we couldn't get them out... she's terrified of anyone touching her ears now)... so Michael had to pop the skin to get the earring through. He takes her out the tub when he's done and he's getting her dressed. She's crying and says "Dadda, I'm so happy" in a crying voice, LOL!
Some other cute things that she does... if I'm holding my belly she'll say, "What's wrong mommy, does your belly hurt?" and I'll say yes baby, mommy's belly hurts. She'll say "Okay, Phoebe will rub it and make it better"...then she starts rubbing it, asking me if it feels better.
She'll also go "RAAAWWWRRRR!!!!!" acting like a lion, we'll act scared and she'll stop and say "Phoebe not scare you anymore, it's okay". =)
3/27/09 - I stayed home with Phoe since she was sick last night. We were eating breakfast and she only wanted sausage, she didn't want waffles, but I gave her some just in case. Well I love when she says "Why you eating my food, huh?!" so I recorded her saying that but then she tried to get me to eat her waffle too, lol.
2/26/10 - We were getting ready in the morning and she was singing in the mirror while I was brushing her hair. I began mouthing the words she was singing and acting like a fool of course, so she shakes her head and says "my momma be crazy" =)
3/1/10 - Phoebe is in the habit of saying her prayers before a meal and before bedtime. When she says the God our Father prayer, she ends it with her version of Amen which is All-a-men. So cute and innocent, gotta love it!
3/10/10 - To avoid whipping or raising my voice, I use the "counting to 3" warning... which works like a charm, I never get to 3! Well the other morning I was trying to wake her up and she kept falling back to sleep. After using the counting to 3 method, she was sitting up half asleep eating her breakfast. I kept aggravating her to keep her awake, she turns to me all serious and says "one.." I couldn't help but laugh!
10/2010 - Phoebe is too funny! When she's in the pantry and grabs something, if we say no ma'am, not until you've had real food, she says "I'm just looking at it"... then puts it down and runs to me, hugs me and says "I love you Mommy!", lol.
And if she's scared of something, she'll say she likes it. She comes home saying they talked about spiders, and she has this scared, fake giggle and says "I like spiders, did you know that Mommy and Daddy?", too cute.
12/2010 - We are in the car today (12/20), going to see the Kids Crazy Christmas Show and we caught the train. Phoebe rolls down her window and starts saying "come on people, please move, you can go, just go"... I started cracking up and then she started laughing and kept at it... telling everyone even as we were moving and they were at a red light "go go, you can go, move it"! Lol!
She also said today, after she saw me kill a spider, "Mommy, I'm 5 now so I will start killing bugs", lol. I said okay but check with me first because we only kill what might bite us (spiders, ants) and she said "ooh ooh, mosquitos!". Then she said, "don't 5 year olds kill bugs?", I told her not to worry, just leave it to Mommy and Daddy. :)
Mikey always jokes with Phoebe and says "Ima punch you in the face", she held up her fist (jokingly) to her daddy and said "Dadda, Ima punch you in the ..." and she paused for a few seconds and then said "Saints!", LOL!
12/25/10 - Phoebe and I are in the bathroom getting dressed to go by Tammy & Rudy's for Christmas.I put Tammy's red heels on my bed so I wouldn't forget to bring them to her. Phoebe took them off the bed and placed them on the stool in the bathroom. She got dressed and then I said "alright, go brush your teeth please"... she grabs the stool and is about to climb on it and says "mommy, these shoes don't go here", I said in a high pitched voice, not yelling or anything, just high pitched "well I didn't put them there silly, you did!", she responds with "i know mommy, just calm down", lol! It was so funny, especially since I wasn't upset.
Mikey told me later on that she told him to calm down too, this kid is such a kick!
12/27/10 - I'm getting ready to bring Phoebe to school and I'm on the computer responding to an email from work. I asked her to put her big coat on because it's cold out. A few minutes later, she's talking to herself saying "Uhhhh, I got this" (like George Lopez) and then a few seconds later, "Uhh, this is NOT good!" Lol! She cracks me up!
1/16/11 - I was sitting next to Phoebe on the sofa, I closed my eyes pretending I fell asleep and she says "Momma, turn on your eyes!", lol! I said what are you talking about? She said "turn on your eyes", I asked if that meant open them and she said yes.
2/3/11 - Phoebe just said "all the kids in my class like "the bieber", they are crazy about the bieber - (justin bieber) Lol!
